Macline® Geo-Clay-Liners barriers are composites manufactured by coupling (normally by needle punching processes) a bentonite layer, with selected properties, between two geotextiles. This composite, when hydrated, can provide a very low permeability lining system, which can be used to build geological barriers and waterproofing systems. To improve its durability and decrease its permeability for more demanding applications, this composite can also be laminated with polymeric films or thin membranes.
This integrated matrix of bentonite and needle punched fibers provides high shear strength and allows the GCL to offer low permeability even when installed in adverse conditions. MacLine® GCL has high internal shear strength characteristics for steep slope applications.
MacLine® GCL W consists of a layer of bentonite encapsulated between two geotextiles (one nonwoven and one woven polypropylene geotextiles), needle punched together for maximum performances under a wide variety of field conditions.
The MacLine® HDPE (high density polyethylene) geomembrane is made of virgin material - granulated by extrusion technology. Material is resistant to chemicals, alkaline, acid, and salt solutions. However, various combinations of chemical agents with different concentrations
and temperatures can appear and that is why we suggest to contact us to consult individual cases.
Material resists mildew, microorganisms, and roots penetrating. The geomembrane is safe to
health, it also does not affect drinking water. The geomembrane is UV stabilized.
